Chesterfield’s May 2026 announcement describes a Category 4 academy. Its current academy page lists the Under-18s in the EFL Youth Alliance, a youth competition. The club also announced younger development squads for 2026/27. Those squads are a separate route from the older academy programme. U17 means Under-17. We found no current open academy trial date in the official sources checked.
